Solubag invented a new raw material made by a synthesis from calcium carbide and natural gas.
Our environmentally friendly bags can be completely dissolve in 5 minutes in water instead of up to 500 years without contamination.
The bags can be produce in the same machinery that currently manufacture flexible films, replacing the plastic for Solubag raw material
Thanks to the same raw material and a different formulation, Solubag produces water-soluble reusable fabric bags
The business model for this product is different than for non-plastic bags. Solubag produces the bags and sells them through distributors or directly to retailers

Solubag’s raw material can be extruded in any plastic extrusion machine, which allows it to be scaled very fast. We are making alliances with bag plastics producers to be our partners.
Extensive experience in the plastic and recycling industry. For the last 10 years he has worked in various companies in the recycling of plastic products in Latin America, Europe and Asia. He dedicated the last 2 years of his career developing PVA products and commercial patents.
Extensive experience as an international VP of sales, especially in the banking industry for Banco Santander. He is also a successful entrepreneur and has created various companies, including plastic companies for different industries.
Experience as General Manager and COO at Pastic UPC S.A. a company of the group Del Monte Fresh S.A., he has developed new products, led innovation projects for production and design of plastic products and managed more than 350 people.
He has worked actively in material research and in the development of laundry detergent products. He works as General Counsel for Solubag orienting strategic decisions and managing the national and international development from a legal perspective.
